Any computer with a Network Interface Card (NIC) for connecting to an Ethernet network should be able to connect to the internet through Cinergy MetroNet. Because of this, there are not true minimum processor or speed requirements for connecting.

Please note though, that your internet experience will be enhanced if your computer meets at least the minimum requirements for the content you choose to view. (e.g., streaming video performance will be much better on a newer computer with a fast processor than on a desktop tower purchased in 1996.)

Because of this, we recommend at least:

• Windows Users: 500 mhz Pentium III with a minimum of 256 MB of RAM
• Macintosh Users: G3 processor with at least 192 MB of RAM

Operating systems supported include Windows ME, Windows 2000, Windows XP, Windows Vista, Mac OS 9 and Mac OS X. Other operating systems may work, but are not officially supported.
